The Obion County Board of Education will meet in regular session May 7, 2012 at the Obion County Agricultural Learning Center at 7:00 p.m. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., we will dedicate and name the facilities via resolution and afterwards all attending will have the opportunity to tour the meeting room and greenhouse with the school providing a meal.

End-of-Course exams will be conducted from May 1, 2012 through May 3, 2012. The last day for classes will be May 17, 2012 for South Fulton and May 18, 2012 for all other schools. High School graduations have been set for Friday, May 18, 2012. South Fulton High School ceremonies will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by Obion County Central High School ceremonies at 7:30 p.m.

We will be recognizing the Obion County Central Future Teachers of America, the Obion County Central High School girls' basketball team (via resolution), and the South Fulton Middle/High School Band (via resolution).

Background Information:

The consent agenda consists of the monthly personnel report and the monthly financial reports/business activity.

In addition, as of 03/22/2012 the following item(s) has/have been removed from the technology inventory system and taken to the Obion County Recycling Center:

(26) computers
(5) monitors

All of the above equipment was in non-working condition and/or of no value to the System due to usage and age. Additional surplus vocational equipment was removed from inventory in an effort to correct the online inventory based on records kept separately by vocational administration. A document describing the equipment is attached.
